Michelle supports humans who think it's groovy to be strong, spirited, and wild with personal wellness training, J.A.M. Sessions (Journal Art & Movement workshops), and WiLD journaling programs. Michelle Bernard wrote her first wellness book, LEAN HAPPY HEALTHY YOU, based on her experience training clients for 30 years in Los Angeles and New York City. Born in Iowa, she's lived in the cities of her dreams including Chicago, L.A., Osaka, Japan, and New York City; pursuing the performing arts & wellness. She was awarded a New York City Teaching Fellowship for her master's degree in education. She established the curriculum for the Theatre Arts department in a Bronx high school for students with special needs that focused on conflict-resolution & self-empowerment. Michelle D. Bernard is the chairman, founder, president and CEO of the Bernard Center for Women, Politics & Public Policy and is a frequent political and legal analyst on MSNBC and other television networks. Bernard is a regular panelist with Hardball with Chris Matthews, The Daily Run Down with Chuck Todd and The Dylan Ratigan Group. Additionally, Bernard appears regularly on The McLaughlin Group. She is a regular guest commentator on National Public Radios All Things Considered and Tell Me More with Michel Martin and is a contributor for The Hills Pundits Blog and The Washington Posts "She the People", a forum for women writing on politics, culture and the news.

Biography

Michelle Bernard was born and raised in beautiful and multicultural Miami, Florida. Being a part of Drama and Choral clubs and classes all throughout her schooling, Michelle loved to perform and started her modeling career at age 15. Doing runway and in store shows for Wet Seal, The Limited, and Express, Michelle's first taste of the business was enough to keep her focused and motivated.       

  
After high school, Michelle furthered her studies by attending Florida State University. While studying English and Computer Science, she found a local modeling agency, Marsha Doll Models, specializing in runway and lingerie shows. This helped to keep her busy and active in the modeling industry. Print jobs, runway, and more catalog work called Michelle back to Miami and South Beach at the end of her studies.
