Mark Hill is a renowned British antiques expert, TV presenter, author, and publisher. He is best known for appearing on the BBC Antiques Roadshow and the BBC Antiques Roadtrip.

Hill began his career in 1996 at Bonhams' international auction house, starting as a porter and later joining the Collectors Department as a Junior Cataloguer. He has been an expert on the BBC Antiques Roadshow since 2007 and is a leading specialist dealer in postwar Czechoslovakian and 20th-century art glass.

In addition to his TV work, Hill is a Senior Vice President of U.K. & EU at Ronati, a company offering digital solutions to the antiques industry. He founded his publishing company, Mark Hill Publishing Ltd, in 2006.

Hill is also known for his road trips with Roo Irvine, a fellow antiques expert, for the BBC Antiques Roadtrip. They have traveled across Scotland, visiting places like Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, the Isle of Skye, and Stirling.

Melanie Clare Sophie Giedroyc (born on 5 June 1968), better known as Mel Giedroyc, is an English television presenter, comedian and actress. With Sue Perkins, she has co-hosted series including Light Lunch for Channel 4, The Great British Bake Off for the BBC, and the chat show Mel and Sue for ITV.

Giedroyc is best known for comedy and presenting work with Sue Perkins. The two women met while students at the University of Cambridge and were members of the Footlights comedy club. Their first presenting roles saw them host a lunchtime show on Channel 4 called Light Lunch (and the early evening version, Late Lunch).

Giedroyc was reunited with Sue Perkins in 2010 to host the cookery competition The Great British Bake Off on BBC Two. In September 2016, it was announced that a three-year deal had been agreed to broadcast The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4, instead of the BBC, from 2017. Melanie Clare Sophie Giedroyc (GHED-roytch, Polish pronunciation:[ˈɡʲɛdrɔjt͡ɕ]; born 5 June 1968) is an English actress, comedian and television presenter.[1]

With Sue Perkins, she has co-hosted series including Light Lunch for Channel 4, The Great British Bake Off for the BBC and chat show Mel and Sue for ITV. In early 2017 Giedroyc co-presented the BBC show Let It Shine. Since 2015 she has held a number of commentating roles for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Early life

Giedroyc was born on 5 June 1968 in Epsom, Surrey, and grew up in Leatherhead.[2] Her father, Michal,[3][4] an aircraft designer, civil engineer and family historian, of Polish-Lithuanian descent from the aristocratic Giedroyć family, had moved to Britain in 1947; he died in December 2017.[5]
