The mighty Eddie George is an actor, producer, entrepreneur, commentator, analyst, keynote speaker, coach, and former professional American football running back. He spent nine years playing in the NFL, most notably with the Tennessee Titans. He is now the Head Coach at Tennessee State. He also established the Tamara & Edward George Legacy Fund with his wife to provide financial and community support to organisations and individuals that support excellence in education, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, George was a prolific sportsman at a young age and excelled on the football field. He played college football for the Ohio State University and won the Heisman Trophy in 1995. He was recruited by the Tennessee Titans in the 1996 NFL Draft and played professionally for them in both Tennessee and Houston (when they were known as the Houston Oilers). Edward Nathan George Jr. (born September 24, 1973) is an American football coach and former player who is the current head football coach at Tennessee State University. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, primarily for the Houston / Tennessee Oilers / Titans franchise.

He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes and won the Heisman Trophy in 1995. He was drafted in the first round of the 1996 NFL draft, and played professionally for the Tennessee Titans (both in Tennessee and in Houston when the franchise was known as the Houston Oilers) and Dallas Cowboys. George was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 as a player,[2] and the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2020.[3]
