Strong Arm Steady (SAS) is a Hip Hop group that originated in Los Angeles, California. The group made waves in the early 2000s with their distinctive West Coast sound. Strong Arm Steady is an American hip hop group from California. As of December 2009, the group consists of rappers Mitchy Slick, Phil da Agony and Krondon. Originally consisting of eight members, Strong Arm Steady was formed as an alternative to the gang-focused productions of the West Coast hip hop scene. It was narrowed to four members before studio recording, with Xzibit as the frontman. Since he left the group in 2006, the three remaining members have been a stable trio.
After releasing multiple mixtapes in the early 2000s, Strong Arm Steady was signed by Talib Kweli to his Blacksmith Records label in 2007. That same year, the group released their debut studio album, Deep Hearted. Their second album, In Search of Stoney Jackson, was released in 2010 and was produced entirely by Madlib. Strong Arm Steady's third and most recent album, Arms & Hammers, was released in 2011.

Strong Arm Steady, often referred to as SAS, is a hip hop group in California's underground hip hop scene. As of December 2009, the act consists of members Phil Da Agony, Krondon, of Los Angeles, and Mitchy Slick of San Diego, California.[1] Originally an amorphous collective of at least eight, formed as an alternative to the gang-focused productions of West Coast hip hop's then-dominant Death Row Records, SAS pared down to four members for recording in the studio and performing live, with Xzibit as the frontman. Since he left the group in 2006, the three remaining members have been a stable trio.[1]
