Ruini, Camillo
Biography
Italian ecclesiastic, Roman Catholic priest and Cardinal.
In 1951 Camillo became an ordained priest and in 1983 a consecrated bishop. Since 1991 he has been serving as a cardinal. He became president of the CEI-Conferenza Espiscople Italiana in 1991, as well as president of Diocesan Charity. Camillo is a member of the Sacred Congregation of Bishops along with several charities. Since 1991 he has become Grand Chancellor of Pontifical Lateran University and president of the Lithurgical Academy.

Camillo cardinal Ruini
Cardinal Ruini was born February 1931 in Italy. Cardinal Ruini is the Chairman of the International Medjugorje Commission. He obtained a licentiate in philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
Ruini was ordained in 1957 and taught at the diocesan seminary till 1968. Teaching also in other venues through the years, on May 16, 1983 he was named auxiliary bishop and titular bishop of Nepte and was consecrated a bishop June 29, the same year.
In 1986 Pople John Paul named him secretarial general of Italian bishops conference. Since 1988 has been consultor of the Congregation of Bishops. In January 91 he was named auxiliary bishop and pro-vicar general for the Diocese of Rome. In March 91 he becam

Cardinal Camillo Ruini, Vicar General emeritus of His Holiness for the Diocese of Rome,Archpriest emeritus of the Papal Lateran Basilica,Grand Chancellor emeritus of the Pontifical Lateran University andPresident emeritus of "Peregrinatio ad Petri Sedem", was born on 19 February 1931 in Sassuolo, province of Modena, diocese of Reggio Emilia.
Having studied philosophy and theology in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University, as a student of the Almo Collegio Capranica, he obtained a licentiate in philosophy and theology.
He was ordained a priest on 8 December 1954. In 1957 he returned to Reggio Emilia and taught philosophy at the diocesan seminary until 1968. From 1968 until 1986 he taught dogmatic theology at the ‘Studio Teologico Interdiocesano di Modena-Reggio-Emilia-Carpi-Guastalla’, where he was also headmaster from 1968 to 1977.
